Thank you to all the participants, sponsors, speakers and presenters who attended the 14th annual Vancouver Island Safety Conference. This year’s conference “Succeeding in Today’s Evolving Work Environment” focused on how the effects of shifting work environments and changes in mindsets and perceptions can positively affect change in the workplace as well as in our day-to-day lives. Keynote conference presenters provided the latest information on topics ranging from change management to mental health. The conference had shorter, high impact sessions. Presenters had booths at the trade show to allow time for one on one interactions or follow up questions.

The conference planning committee was made up of representatives from Labour, Industry, Government, BC Forest Safety and WorkSafeBC. Generous sponsorships from industry, WorkSafeBC and other organizations allowed for free admission for delegates.
Refreshments and lunch were provided.
Attendees were encouraged to bring non-perishable food items for donation to the Loaves and Fishes food bank.
