WorkSafeBC, in partnership with the BC Forest Safety Council (the Council), enlisted Sentis Research to develop and carry out a survey with employers in BC’s Forestry and Logging sector.

The main objectives of the survey were to measure employer awareness of the BC Forest Safety Council and identify their needs and preferences for health and safety information and support.

The survey covered the following topics:

• General perceptions around safety in Forestry and Logging
• Awareness of the BC Forest Safety Council
• Satisfaction with the Council
• Usage of and satisfaction with the services, resources, and information provided by the Council
• Desired services and communication channels
